Why Vulcanized Rubber?
Reliable sealing depends on the rubber’s ability to maintain its shape and recover after compression.
During vulcanization, rubber is formed under controlled heat and pressure to create the final component. The manufacturing process also makes it possible to integrate additional materials such as steel or textile inserts where the application requires greater mechanical stability. The result is a purpose-built rubber component designed for its specific sealing task.

What Happens Under Compression?
A quality gasket should maintain sealing contact under compression and recover as the load changes. The correct gasket must always be selected according to the medium, operating temperature and operating pressure.

Illustration: after the load is released, a vulcanized gasket recovers to approximately 3.6 mm of its original 4 mm thickness, while a non-vulcanized gasket retains a permanent deformation at approximately 2.6 mm.

Industrial Rubber Flange Gaskets
JANKQUAS flange gasket solutions are intended for water, wastewater and industrial piping applications, including valves, water meters, fittings and other flanged connections. Depending on the application, solutions can include standard rubber gaskets, metal-reinforced designs and versions with stainless-steel strainers.
Standard flange gaskets are available from stock in the DN15–DN800 range, including strainer and metal-reinforced versions.
